THE MOTHERHOOD TRANSITION
For over a decade, I have worked in various prenatal clinics and on the mother/baby unit in the hospital. One of the biggest weaknesses in our health care system for our pregnant and post-partum patients is the lack of recommendation, education and resources for exercise and nutrition.
In April 2020, ACOG (American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the governing body of women's health care) released new guidelines that heavily supported exercise through out pregnancy and post partum. The data shows that women who engage in routine physical exercise through out pregnant have a higher incidence of vaginal deliveries and have a decreased risk of; Cesarean birth, Gestational Diabetes, excessive weight gain in mother and baby, maternal blood pressure issues, and low fetal birth weight.
My goal is to help women prepare for the motherhood transition by coaching them with intentional and safe movement, nutritional education, and emotional support.

Strength training and accessory work is vital to maintaining or building a strong, pregnant body. Programs are available for beginning to advanced athletes and can be written as either general or specific based on unique goals or needs.
My prenatal and post-partum classes are offered in a group setting. The workouts are written to be trimester specific because the body has different needs and capabilities though out pregnancy. Group classes are a fun way to stay active and meet other mommas in your community.
If group classes aren't your preference, I am happy to provide one on one coaching. We can use my gym or I can provide programming that can be done at home or at another gym. Private programming can also be tailored to fit any unique goals that you have.
POST- PARTUM PERIOD
The post-partum period has unique challenges and recommendations. This is a delicate time where moms are adjusting to their new life, are often sleep deprived, worried about their bodies and trying to care for a newborn and household. I have timeline specific programing that allow for time with your newborn, recovery, core rehabilitation, and exercise programming when you are ready.
